Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The controller of personal information described in this policy is Stacy Stanfield LLC, an Alabama limited liability company doing business as AppraiserLogic (appraiserlogic.com). Contact: stacy@appraiserlogic.com. This policy covers the AppraiserLogic website and the AppraiserLogic cloud service (together, the "Service"). The Service is a business tool for licensed real-estate appraisers and appraisal firms; it is not directed to consumers.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information. Name, email address, firm name, phone number, state, and license type — provided when you request access or set up a workspace.
  • Customer content. Appraisal reports, property data, photographs, sketches, comparable-sale records, and related materials that you enter or upload in your professional capacity as an appraiser. This content can include personal information about third parties (see Section 3).
  • Payment data. Handled by our payment processor. We do not store card numbers on our systems; we retain only transaction records (amount, date, status, last-four/brand where the processor provides them) needed for billing and accounting.
  • Usage and log data. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, requested pages, user-agent) and service event logs used for security, debugging, and capacity planning.
  • Cookies. We use session and authentication cookies only — the cookies required to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We run no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics beacons. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is tracking you.

3. Roles: personal information inside your reports

Appraisal work-files naturally contain personal information about people who are not our customers — property owners, borrowers, occupants, contacts, agents. For that information, the customer (the appraiser or firm) is the controller and determines why and how it is processed as part of their professional engagement. We process it solely as the customer's service provider — to host, back up, render, and package the customer's reports and workspace — and not for any purpose of our own. We do not use personal information inside customer reports for marketing, profiling, or any independent purpose, and we do not disclose it except to operate the Service as described in this policy, at the customer's direction, or where required by law.

4. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and secure the Service — including authentication, data isolation, backups, and abuse prevention.
  • To support you — responding to requests, troubleshooting, and onboarding.
  • To bill for the Service and maintain required business records.
  • To send service communications — onboarding, security, availability, and material product or terms changes. During early access this includes direct product correspondence, which you can decline.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for advertising — ours or anyone else's. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Service providers (subprocessors), by category

We use a small set of service providers to run the Service, each limited to what its function requires, under terms consistent with this policy:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure — servers, storage, and off-site encrypted backups.
  • Mapping and street-level imagery — resolving addresses and rendering location and photo exhibits.
  • Property-records data — public-records lookups the customer initiates for subjects and comparables.
  • Market-index data — published home-value index series used in market analytics.
  • Payment processing — subscription billing; card data is entered with and held by the processor.
  • Email delivery — transactional and service email.

Where a customer connects their own data credentials (for example, MLS participant credentials), that provider processes the customer's requests under the customer's own agreement with the provider.

6. FCRA statement

AppraiserLogic is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the data available through the Service is not provided as, and may not be used as, a "consumer report." You may not use the Service or its data to determine any person's eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

7. Security

  • Encryption in transit — all Service traffic runs over TLS.
  • Per-customer data isolation — each customer's workspace, files, and comp library are scoped to their own account; MLS-derived data is never shared across accounts.
  • Role-based access — workspace roles limit what each signed-in user can see and do; administrative access on our side follows least-privilege practice.
  • Encrypted credential storage — customer-connected API keys and data credentials are stored encrypted.
  • Routine off-site backups — encrypted backups on a fixed schedule, tested for restorability.

No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Retention

  • Account information — kept for the life of the account, then removed or anonymized except where a legal or accounting obligation requires longer retention.
  • Customer content — kept until you delete it or close your account. After termination, export remains available for at least ninety (90) days (see the Terms of Service), after which content is deleted from production systems.
  • Backups — deleted content ages out of encrypted backups on our normal rotation schedule.
  • Logs — retained on a rolling basis appropriate to security and operations, then discarded.

9. Your rights

You may access, correct, delete, and export your information: account information by contacting us, and customer content directly in the Service (including full export). We honor applicable state privacy laws, including CCPA-style rights for residents of states that provide them (access/knowledge, correction, deletion, and portability). Two disclosures those laws call for, made plainly: we do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. To exercise any right, email stacy@appraiserlogic.com; we may verify your identity before acting and will respond within the time applicable law requires. For personal information contained inside a customer's reports, we will refer the request to that customer (the controller) and assist them as their service provider.

10. Children

The Service is a professional tool and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give notice by email to your account address or prominently in the Service before the change takes effect, and we will update the effective date above. Prior versions are available on request.
